Margaret (Peggy) McMeekin, DAOM, LAc. is an acupuncturist with 30 years of experience in pain management and sports medicine.
After completing her master’s degree, Margaret interned in Vietnam with master practitioners Dr Truong Thin in Ho Chi Minh City and with Dr Nguyen Tai Thu in Hanoi.
Margaret was one of 19 acupuncturists in the first cohort of students to earn the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree in the United States. As part of that program at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine she specialized in Pain Management and interned at Nanjing University of Traditional Medicine in Nanjing China.
In folllowing years Margaret was certified in Acupuncture Sports Medicine.
For 15 years she taught master and doctoral level students in Acupuncture theory, needling techniques and pain management and supervised student clinics; all the while maintaining a private practice in Greenwich Village, New York for the past 28 years.
Margaret (Peggy) utilizes her unique acupuncture experience to provide effective relief and healing for a wide range of chronic and acute pain conditions. With her deep knowledge and compassionate approach, Margaret helps her patients achieve optimal health and wellness.
